We’ve just returned from our 4 day trip to Las Vegas, in search of the hottest new trends and brands for next season. The entertainment capital of the world hosts one of Americas biggest footwear trade shows; WSA and it is the place for the world’s best brands to really show off.

We arrived late Wednesday night and checked into our hotel room at the Venetian where we enjoyed a much needed good night sleep!

Up early the next morning we grabbed some coffee, jumped in a cab and made our way to the Zappos headquarters where we toured the online footwear giant’s offices and scooped up some freebies.

With the afternoon to spare we squeezed in some sightseeing, we jumped on the monorail and headed down the famous Las Vegas strip stopping at some of the fabulous hotels.

Each hotel had a theme so stepping through the door was an experience. Our first stop was New York New York which creates an impression of the New York City skyline. Jo and Rob braved the Manhatten Express Roller Coaster which twines around the buildings and runs through the casino.

Our next stop was the MGM Grand hotel with over 5000 rooms it’s the largest hotel in the world, housing a casino, numerous shops and a couple of furry felines!

Day two was another early start; with a long list of brands to meet we hopped on the bus and headed to the WSA show for a sneak peak at next season’s fashion trends, colour trends and footwear styles. The day was a success and we left feeling inspired with the addition of some great new footwear brands.

After the show we thought it only right that we headed out into the Neon night to explore some more of Vegas (and maybe do a little bit of gambling.)

We got up early on day three had some breakie and headed back to the WSA show to complete our hit list of brands. The second day of the show was another success with exhibitors showcasing more trendy, uber-cool styles than ever before leaving us filled with excitement and buzzing full of ideas

That evening we headed out for dinner to the Stratosphere, jutting 1,149 feet into the Vegas skyline where we enjoyed panoramic views of the shimmering Vegas strip.

We woke up Sunday morning and deciding to make the most of our last few hours before our flight home. We ventured out on to the strip for some last minute shopping and treats for the office. With the temperature hitting 42°C it felt as if someone was holding a hairdryer to your face, so we darted in and out the air conditioned hotels. We strolled past Treasure Island to take pictures of the pirate ship and sauntered through the Mirage to grab a bite to eat before getting on the bus and heading back to the airport.

Arriving at Las Vegas airport we embarked on the 24hour journey home. Despite a spot of turbulence and being a tad jet lagged we made it back to the office to reveal all the great new footwear brands we uncovered for next season and to hand over the peanut butter M&M’s we bought for the team (and to keep the boss happy.)
