Hopi ear candles
DATE: 08/09/2007 15:10:54 / MOOD: other

Hi all

After suffering from headaches, blocked sinuses and popping ears i decided to book myself in for the hopi ear candles....what a fool i am!!

Went off to the salon with quite a lot of trepidation as its not everyday someone sticks a lighted candle in your ear!

I layed down on the couch and had a towel wrapped around my face and then a great long paper cndle stuck in my ear and the lady said you may feel some sizzling and popping and you may smell burning and start to feel the heat on your face......right i'm really nervous now!! She lights the candle and apart from slight discomfort its not actually that bad and when it burns down she then does the other one and then massages your facial pressure points which is all very pleasant!

She then decides it's time to open the candles to see what they have collected after saying it will be mostly white powder!! Well it wasn't !!! It was disgusting to say the least and she was like..."omg no wonder you have so many headaches and blocked sinuses, i've not seen anything like this in a long time.......i'm a freak i cry only to be told that i will need two more treatments over the next to weeks to get my brain back in balance!!! That'll explain a lot then.....i'm not actually mad, it's my ears!!

So looking forward to next wednesday when i repeat it all over again!! Anyone care to join me???

My day out!
DATE: 01/09/2007 07:18:20 / MOOD: happy

Hi all, rather than repeat myself on all your pages and give myself rsi i thought i would just write a quick blog about my day yesterday!

As you all know a day and night off is a rarity in this house so it was great to be able to lots of things without worrying about madam and her supplies!!

We dropped her off early at grandmas and set of home where we parked the car and walked to the station. We arrived in brighton and strolled slowly around the shops and brought a few things and then ventured into the lanes where we hada wander before stopping for lunch and vino and then we had a stroll around Brighton in general before coming home and watchin the tv with a glass of wine before going to bed! Doesn't sound too exciting but for us its nice to have a day out without having to worry about Brittany and rushing home because we've forgotten her feeding kit or something. I still got up early tho 7am but it's much better than 5am!!!

DATE: 31/08/2007 06:24:37 / MOOD: happy

Hello everyone

As i was up at the crack of dawn this morning i thought i would put my pics on for you all, have done 3 so that you can compare better as they all look slightly different too me! In the flesh the ruby ones look kind of pearlised, a bit like the cotton candy and grape!! Hope it helps you all!

Off on my jaunts today so will catch up tomorrow (sat) have a great day all!!

Mangroves trip out
DATE: 25/08/2007 15:35:25 / MOOD: happy

I would just like to let you all know how versatile the crocs mangrove are after my little adventure this afternoon.

They have been on a 5 mile cycle, walked down a thick bed of pebbles and then through an equally thick bed of slimey seaweed onto wet slushy sand and then for a paddle along the waters edge for about a mile and then back up the sand, seaweed etc and back on the bike home! A quick wash under the tap and they are back clean and shiny and my feet are blister free!! Yeehah! A grand day out!!
