So far this year my fave book's been The Book Thief -made me cry a lot though! I'll read almost anything! Not keen on crime fiction though and I HATE badly written books, Oh and I do read my bible most days!!!

movies
Oh there are too many to mention. Funny, romantic, science fiction/fantasy -basically I'll watch most things! Not horror though!!

about me
Married I guess you'd use the phrase 'stay at home mum' of two lovely children, 13yr old girl and 10yr old boy. I do a few hours work at the local school and a day and a bit child minding each week and also help run a youth group which all keeps me busy. Like to chill out as much as possible though and love to curl up with a good book.

turn on's
Captains with Jack in the title -Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Jack Harkness! Though back in the world of reality a good sense of humour and a nice smile will do!

turn off's
Miserable or rude people! ARGUING!

hobbies
Reading, swimming, playing tennis when I get round to it (rarely!), just hanging out with friends, walking our mad spaniel. Love to go away in our little caravan, nothing like sitting in a tin box with the rain hammering down on it!!

Good evening honey

Rupert!!!!!! Mmmmmm, bet that'll take a bit of getting used to? Mind you i had the same reaction when i dared to name my child Brittany!!!

Well Ray has packed up his paint brush for the day, the room is half done it's had 2 coats but now needs the final 1 and then it's the dreaded glossing.

I've been on my wii fit and done some ski jumping and slalom and then some step aerobics, nearly killed me too!

Well the weather is pants, teemimg rain and gale forse wind...yuk!!!

How's your day been? Have you warmed up from the playground duty yet?

Oh yes, France we've booked 2 weeks in June to coincide with Carol and Ken's stay and we're spending the full time in their domain. Luckily for Carol we will not be imposing on them everyday and we will have my parents with us!!!!! What have i done inviting them along i wonder????? My dad's really looking forward to it and keeps asking if i've booked the ferry etc etc, i think it's something for him to look forward to after his radiotherapy has finished?

How long is it now until you come and visit us? Have i enough time to pack? Joking aside i'm really looking forward to it, seems like yonks since you last came down even tho it was only may.

Off out with Mil and boyfriend tomorrow, Ray's idea i hasten to add! We're off for a meal and a few drinks as it's her birthday on sat, it's my mums next weds and i can't believe that they are both the same star sign as they are like chalk and cheese apart from the bowls!!

Any way i will bid you farewell

Hi Jacq

did you go see Mama Mia it was brill and really lifts the spirits I am going to get it when it comes out on dvd to go with Muriel's wedding and Pricilla Queen of the desert all upraising and with Abba music I always play them when I feel a bit low!

Rupert well that's different could you not find a red jumper and yellow checked trousers oh and don't forget the scarf sorry I quite like it really I was not sure if I liked Sebastien but it grew on me! just watched Brideshead Revisited the old series not the new film and hope our Sebastien is not still carring his teddy about when he is in his 20's mind I still have my teddy don't carry it around though

Lucky you off to Norfolk I know we have not been back from France long and go again next month but a couple of shifts at work and I forget I had a holiday

Good morning

How are you on this grey miserable day?

Have any more disasters occurred? I really don't know how you manage it!!!

Brittany went to her club on sat so we went into Chichester and did some xmas shopping which as you know is now wrapped and in the loft!

Yesterday we went into Worthing and walked along the sea front before getting a couple more xmas bits.

Sooooo glad that Girlband got the boot on sat night, thought they were rubbish, Daniel's not all that either.

Bit disappointed that Don left strictly, i kind of like that posh voice of his.

Going into school this afternoon so that Brittany's statement can be reviewed and the autism added to it. She got a really good report last week and in maths and spelling she is at curriculum level (albeit right at the bottom) but i'm very proud of her.

What are your plans for today anything exciting? I have the incredible sleeping woman coming over later, oh the joy!!!

Have a great day

Morning Jacq

glad to hear the chicken and chips were a cheat thought you were wonder woman or something

Margaret has 2 sons one live in France and one in our town just like me. At the moment we are the only ones who know she has not told her sister and other friends, she wants to wait till she sees the surgeon and knows what can be done the good news is she has a appointment for the 4th Nov and yes she has had a rough time lately.

We are hopefully off out into the countryside with Henri today to visit an alpaca farm!  yes another book it combines knitting with murders and alpaca wool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I had read a couple of months ago about a farm near Dunchurch Gergies going as we had some heavy rain yesterday.

happy daysx

Hi Jacq

a night with no kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope you had fun

How on earth do you feed 70 kids chicken and chips? how do you keep tabs on them when you have them out bowling????????????????? scary thought!

Yes Margaret was already poorly when Tessa died since before Christmas last year, the base on her spine is crumbling due to 40 years of nursing, she is in agony on morphine patches etc and a scan has just shown she has a anurism in her aorta spelling so so totally wrong, any way she is waiting to see a vas surgeon, and is so naughty she has not told her her family! as she does not want to worry them!!!!!!!!!!!! I try to get to see her at least once a week I am so pleased that knitting seems to have perked her up

I just drove home after a night in the broom cupboard and the sun on the trees was so beautiful I am going to bottle it and save it for the dark days ahead Kay does not like autumn but I do I love the colours but spring is still my fav time of year those dafffs wonderful!

have a wonderful weekendx
