Good morning!

Well it's actually a very drizzly morning which is due to turn torrential!!! They're forecasting a month's worth of rain in a day again aren't they!!! Is it very wet up there??

Poor Ken, I hope his knee soon starts to recover, was it a gradual thing or did he 'do' something to it? My knees used to cause me alot of trouble which stemmed from too much tennis when I was about 20 but since I've been wearing crocs they only play up very occassionally! J I'm sure you'll still have a great time and having the lovely Lewis' nearby for some of it will be great!J

You have got on with your knitting haven't you! But two odd socks????? My neice found out she was pregnant about three weeks ago now and she's due in only another few!!! So all the impending grandma's and great grandma's are hard at work knitting in a hurry!! I will not shame myself by attempting any form of knitwear -but I will have fun shopping once the baby's here!!! J

Well, my friend's coming to pick me up quite soon and I'm sitting here with wet hair still so off I go and get ready.

Take care, hope you have fun with Henri today!!!

Hiya Carol,

How's the knitting going??

I'm not sure when you're off to France -you may have already gone??? I'll be back on here a bit more now that my children have deserted me but both you and Kay will be away!

I've survived my first two days without Lollie and Lebs but I've had to work both days so I've not been mooching about feeling sorry for myself! Meeting a friend tomorrow and then it's the weekend again -Yippee! Though I do hate living for the weekend, it's such a waste! I'm finding myself trying to book things in to look forward to just to get through the winter. It's silly but this awful weather just feels like we're going to have six months of winter ahead -and you know how I am with the gloom!!!!!!!

But I've finally managed to book a couple of nights in November down near Kay again so that's definitely something to look forward to!!!! They're opening another Travelodge and I managed to get £29 rooms which was a result. -The other one was almost £60 a night and it's a bit chilly for the caravan!!!

I hope that you and Ken are both well and that you have a great time in France again!

xxjxx

Ben and I are great - looking forward to some sun at last and some R&R! Sorry you didn't manage any bargains - I sometimes struggle too as 3s can be a nightmare to find - even the ladies crocs which are supposed to start at UK2 - most shops don't stock smaller than a UK4!

Well have a lovely time - enjoy your french wines - talking of them - we may do a quick jaunt to Calais again in Nov to top up for Xmas in Cornwall!

Hope to catch up with you when you get back or if not, when I get back - we'll make people come back on here somehow!

xx

Hello Carol,

Mmm, righteous??? Not sure I'd qualify for that description!!!!!!!! There must have been someone far 'good-er' than me on their hols in Norfolk at the same time!!!!!! lol

I wish I could knit! I knitted two cardigans for Lollie when I was pregnant, my first and second items!!! I was on the phone to my mum constantly and she often had to go back rows for me where I'd dropped or picked up stitches!! I never put Lol in the first one as it was awful but the multi coloured wool of the second one hid most of the flaws!!! I knitted Caleb a scarf last year as he wanted a stripey one like Tom Baker had as Dr Who!!!! And apart from a blanket of squares I made for Lauren's dolls that's my lot as knitting goes!!!!   My mum constantly knits and we found out my niece is pregnant last week so she's already knitting for the baby!

Knitted socks would be great for Georgies!!!!!

No new crocs around these parts since my red adaras -they've been great when the sun's been out!!- but I'm quite keen on getting a pair of Bayas as soon as finances allow! The children's back to school stuff unfortunately takes priority!!!

Two weeks left with my babies (make that big babies!) before they're back to school, I wish they had longer off, six weeks just whizzes by! -Oh I really hate it when they go back, I will need to keep very busy in September!

How long until your next jaunt to France?? It doesn't seem long ago that you last went but I bet it was ages ago!

Well off I trot, take care xxjxx

Hello Carol,

Long time no write!!!! Hope I'm finding you well?? I just haven't seemed to get on here over the holidays. (well I seem to have spent the last few days staring at men in speedos on the tv!!!!) Children and I are having a good time with no early mornings or come to that early bedtimes either!! Had a great time up in Norfolk and we were so blessed with the weather being hot and sunny almost every day of our two weeks! Since then it's been pants of course!! Caleb has a friend over for the day and we've just got back from the park and tennis courts. We had a dry picnic, then the heavens opened, then it turned into glorious sunshine!!! Most odd! Tomorrow is set to be sunny so I think another picnic is in order -this time with Lj's &my friends at the castle. Oh big news round here -the castle -yes MY castle!!!!- is going to be the scene for the motorcross racing in the 2012 Olympics!!!!!!!!! They apparently think 40,000 people will be coming to Hadleigh to watch it!!!!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!

What have you been up to recently? Lots of work I bet!?! But hopefully a bit of fun too!!!

Well, off I go to get the swimming stuff ready.

Take care xxjxx
